Getting Started

QWhat should I expect at my first appointment?

Your first appointment is a comprehensive assessment lasting 60-90 minutes. We will review your health history, current eating habits, lifestyle factors, and goals. Come prepared to discuss your typical diet, any medications or supplements, and what you hope to achieve. We will create a personalized nutrition plan tailored to your needs.

QHow do I prepare for my consultation?

Before your appointment, complete any intake forms we send you. Keep a 3-day food diary if possible. Bring a list of current medications and supplements, recent lab work if available, and any questions you have. Wear comfortable clothing as we may take measurements.

QDo I need a referral from my doctor?

No referral is needed for our general nutrition services. However, if you are seeking medical nutrition therapy for a specific condition and want insurance coverage, a referral may be required. We recommend checking with your insurance provider.

Nutrition Questions

QWill I have to follow a strict diet?

No! We do not believe in restrictive diets. Our approach focuses on adding nutritious foods, building sustainable habits, and finding what works for YOUR lifestyle. We create flexible plans that fit your preferences, schedule, and goals.

QCan you help with food allergies or intolerances?

Absolutely. Our dietitians are experienced in managing food allergies, intolerances, and sensitivities. We can help you identify trigger foods, find suitable alternatives, ensure nutritional adequacy, and navigate dining out and social situations.

QDo you work with vegetarians and vegans?

Yes! We support all dietary patterns including vegetarian, vegan, pescatarian, and flexitarian diets. We can help ensure you meet all your nutritional needs while following your preferred eating style.

QWhat if I have a medical condition?

Our registered dietitians specialize in medical nutrition therapy for various conditions including diabetes, heart disease, kidney disease, GI disorders, and more. We work with your healthcare team to provide coordinated care.

Results & Expectations

QHow soon will I see results?

Results vary depending on your goals. Some clients notice improved energy and digestion within 1-2 weeks. Weight changes typically become noticeable after 4-6 weeks of consistent effort. Long-term health improvements may take 3-6 months. Remember, sustainable change takes time!

QWhat if the plan is not working for me?

Communication is key! If something is not working, let us know. We will adjust your plan based on your feedback, challenges, and progress. Nutrition is not one-size-fits-all, and we may need to try different approaches to find what works best for you.

QDo you guarantee weight loss?

We do not guarantee specific weight loss amounts as results depend on many factors including adherence, metabolism, medical conditions, and lifestyle. What we do guarantee is evidence-based guidance, personalized support, and commitment to helping you reach your healthiest self.
